Dr. Fadia Nordtveit

Producer

Dr. Fadia Nordtveit combines academic, entrepreneurial, and creative expertise to advance Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, Belonging and Sustainability (DEIBS) in various sectors and contexts.

Academic:

Dr. Fadia is Assistant Professor of Communications at Springfield College and holds a part-time Faculty, Researcher and Consultant position at New York University. She is the Co-Editor of an academic special issue journal on DEIBS in collaboration with University of Milan. Dr. Fadia has served on numerous DEIBS committees in a variety of universities and organizations. Her work has been featured in Financial Times, Boston Globe, Medium, Mass Appeal, Authority, etc. Dr. Fadia’s research areas are DEIBS and she has created a system of organizational inclusion called the Inclusive Business Model Canvas (IBMC) that aids in building an inclusive foundational structure.

Her PhD, Masters and BA are all in field of Communications. Her PhD Dissertation and subsequent non-profit and book were on environmental communication, climate justice, inclusion and new media amplification. Her Masters research was on Fair Trade, Inclusion and Brand Representation at University of Massachusetts Amherst. Her BA research was on Gender, Representation and Screen Cultures in Hampshire College.

Fadia’s research on environmental communication and climate justice, global youth movements and new media technologies led her to found The BGreen Project and is explored in her book (Routledge, 2019), Participatory Networks and the Environment: The BGreen Project in the US and Bangladesh. Fadia is also working on her new book (Routledge, 2024) in their Sustainability and Business series called Millennials, Generation Z and the Fair Trade Revolution in the United States.

Industry:

Dr. Fadia is the founder of collaborative-ly, a company that provides research, talks, workshops and trainings to businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, governments, towns and cities. Dr. Fadia is also an Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) administrator and incorporates this method of developing cultural competency in her work. Dr. Fadia regularly speaks, conducts workshops, trainings and research in industry and academic settings. Dr. Fadia is also a monthly contributor on the topic of DEIBS in the workplace at NBC's Mass Appeal. Dr. Fadia is also the producer of a public-access television show called Talking Out Of Line that highlights DEIBS trailblazers from diverse industries. She has previously produced another public access show called The BGreen Media Literacy project.

Kaitlyn Kupiec

Co-Producer

Kaitlyn Kupiec is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications and Sports Journalism (COSJ) at Springfield College. She is a co-host of the JK Talks podcast on Birthplace Studios as well as a part of the Springfield Student Newspaper. She is also a part of the Club Equestrian team. She is passionate about multimedia and sports writing and wants to make an impact as a woman in COSJ.

Kael Donley

Former Editor & Researcher

Kael Donley is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communications and Sports Journalism at Springfield College. He is a member of the Men's Gymnastics team as well as part of the Student Athlete Leadership Team. He is also a part of the Springfield Student Media's SCTV3 Station. He is passionate about filmmaking, editing, and production to entertain an audience.

Aiden Fitzpatrick

Former Co-Producer

Aiden Fitzpatrick completed his Bachelor of Fine Arts at Springfield College in 2023. He is a former member of the men’s Lacrosse team as well as Springfield Student Media’s SCTV3 Station. He is passionate about multimedia production and wants to create an impact through his craft and storytelling.

Alberto Martinez

Research & Script

Alberto Martinez is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Springfield College. He is the Vice President of Student Government as well as a member of Springfield Student Media’s SCTV3 Station. He is passionate about filmmaking, scriptwriting and directing and hopes to bring his own stories and to life on screen.
